Calm Irritated Skin. Soften Roughness. Get Back to Comfortable Skin.
When your skin feels itchy, irritated, rough, or uncomfortable, sometimes it needs more than a basic moisturizer.
Soothe Cream combines betamethasone, coal tar, salicylic acid, and avocado oil to address multiple aspects of irritated, scaly skin—helping calm inflammation, soften buildup, and support a more comfortable skin feel.
How Does It Work?
Think of Soothe Cream as addressing several parts of the skin problem at once.
Calm
Betamethasone is a topical corticosteroid that helps decrease inflammation, redness, swelling, and itching. Topical corticosteroids are commonly used in dermatology for inflammatory skin conditions, including psoriasis.
Smooth
Salicylic acid works as a scale-softening ingredient. It helps loosen and remove excess skin buildup, which can make thick or rough areas feel smoother. It can also help other topical medications penetrate thick plaques more effectively.
Soothe
Coal tar has been used for decades to help manage itching, flaking, redness, and scaling associated with conditions such as psoriasis.
Moisturize
Avocado oil provides an emollient component that helps support the skin's moisture barrier and reduce the dry, tight feeling that can accompany irritated skin.
What Can Soothe Cream Help With?
Depending on your diagnosis and treatment plan, your provider may recommend this type of topical combination for areas affected by:
- Itching
- Redness
- Scaling
- Rough or thickened skin
- Dry, irritated patches
- Certain inflammatory skin conditions
Soothe Cream is not intended to diagnose the cause of a new or unexplained rash. Your provider should determine whether this treatment is appropriate for your skin condition.
Your Skin Doesn't Have to Feel Uncomfortable
Itchy or irritated skin can make everyday things—getting dressed, exercising, sleeping, or simply getting through the day—more frustrating.
Soothe Cream is designed to help address the irritation and scaling that can make your skin feel uncomfortable, while providing an emollient component to support softer-feeling skin.
Targeted care. Less irritation. More comfortable skin.
Safety & Important Information
Soothe Cream contains betamethasone, a topical corticosteroid, along with salicylic acid and coal tar. Use it exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.
Use Only Where Directed
Apply Soothe Cream only to the areas and for the amount of time recommended by your provider.
Do not assume that applying more cream or using it more often will make your skin improve faster.
Using topical corticosteroids improperly—particularly stronger corticosteroids on sensitive areas or for longer than directed—can increase the risk of side effects. Read more on corticosteroids: https://www.aad.org/public/diseases/psoriasis/treatment/medications/corticosteroids
Do Not Use on Broken or Infected Skin Unless Directed
Tell your provider if the area you want to treat is:
- Open or bleeding
- Infected
- Oozing
- Significantly swollen
- Developing blisters
- Painful or rapidly worsening
Salicylic acid can irritate or burn healthy or already-irritated skin, particularly when applied to broken skin.
Sun Sensitivity
Coal tar can make treated skin more sensitive to sunlight in some circumstances.
Limit unnecessary sun exposure and follow your provider's recommendations for sun protection.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Tell your healthcare provider if you are:
- Pregnant
- Planning to become pregnant
- Breastfeeding
Your provider can determine whether this combination is appropriate for you and whether any changes to your treatment plan are needed.
Do not start or stop prescription treatment during pregnancy without discussing it with your healthcare provider.
A Few Things to Know Before You Start
More isn't better.
Applying extra product won't necessarily speed up healing and may increase irritation or corticosteroid-related side effects.
Follow your treatment schedule.
Use Soothe Cream only as directed. Your provider may recommend a limited treatment period because of the corticosteroid component.
Moisturize between treatments if recommended.
A fragrance-free moisturizer can help support the skin barrier and reduce dryness. Dermatologists commonly recommend moisturizers as part of care for dry and scaly skin conditions.
Your diagnosis matters.
Not every itchy or irritated rash is psoriasis or another condition that responds to corticosteroids. If your symptoms change or don't improve, your provider may need to reassess the diagnosis.
Feel More Comfortable in Your Skin
When irritation, itching, and roughness keep getting in the way, targeted treatment can make a difference.
Soothe Cream combines four complementary ingredients to help calm inflammation, soften scaling, and support more comfortable-feeling skin.
